Memphis, Tenn.: Grizzlies edge Bulls 104-100 in preseason

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis defeated Chicago, 104-100, Friday in a NBA preseason game at United Center in Chicago, Illinois, keeping the Grizzlies exhibition push on track ahead of a home date with Charlotte.

Ty Jerome was Memphis leading scorer with 16 points. He also recorded four assists and one rebound for the Grizzlies, who will next play on Oct. 16 versus Charlotte with tipoff slated for 8 p.m. EDT at FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.

Cameron Boozer shone for the Grizzlies in a first half highlighted by his second-quarter dunk. He went into the break having gone 3-for-5 from the field with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists before the Grizzlies closed out the 104-100 preseason win.

Jahmai Mashack totaled two assists and one steal in seven minutes for the Grizzlies. He was 0-of-2 in field goal attempts and 0-of-2 for three-point attempts in limited run during the United Center exhibition.

Caleb Wilson hit five three-pointers for the Chicago Bulls during a 104-100 preseason loss to Boozer and the Memphis Grizzlies. Wilson closed the night shooting 7-for-17 from the field and 5-for-11 from deep after a quiet first half.

The Grizzlies begin the regular season by welcoming the Utah Jazz to town on Oct. 21. Boozer and his teammates will first wrap up the preseason next Friday versus the Charlotte Hornets at FedEx Forum.
