Location
Victorian Village sits along Adams Avenue between Orleans Street and Danny Thomas Boulevard, just north of downtown and adjacent to the Medical District. It is within walking distance of Methodist University Hospital and Regional One Health.

The district is primarily a historic architecture showcase, with several mansion-museums and surviving residential properties from the 1840s–1890s on tree-lined Adams Avenue. The surrounding blocks are transitional urban residential.
History
Victorian Village preserves some of the finest surviving antebellum and Victorian residential architecture in Tennessee. The mansions date from before and after the Civil War and yellow fever epidemics — remarkable survivals given that much of Memphis's historic housing stock was lost to urban renewal.
