Theatre Memphis is set to kick off its new theatre season with the acclaimed musical ‘Ain’t Misbehavin”, dedicated to the legacy of Fats Waller. Running from June 6 to June 29, the season will also showcase a variety of plays, including classics like ‘Grease’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’. Theatre Memphis has announced its upcoming theatre season, headlined by the musical “Ain’t Misbehavin'”, which will run from June 6 to June 29, 2025. This performance is part of a lineup that aims to celebrate a variety of theatrical works, including musicals, dramas, and comedies.
“Ain’t Misbehavin'” is a tribute to the legendary musician Fats Waller, known for his significant contributions to musical theatre and to black culture. The show is characterized as a sassy and sultry revue featuring a selection of rowdy and risqué songs that embody Waller’s perspective on life. The production will showcase five performers supported by an ensemble cast, celebrating Waller’s vibrant musical legacy.
