Exciting New Restaurants Set to Open in Memphis This Fall!

Restaurant Opening Excitement

Exciting New Restaurant Openings Coming to Memphis!

Hey, Memphis food lovers! If youโ€™re anything like me, youโ€™re in love with the bustling food scene this city has to offer. It seems like thereโ€™s always something new and delicious around the corner, and we have some exciting news for all you foodies out there. Thereโ€™s a wave of new restaurants and eateries gearing up to open up shop, and they promise to bring some serious flavor to the 901!

Craft Beer Enthusiasts, Rejoice!

First on our list is MFS Brewing, set to blast off in the trendy South Main neighborhood. Slated for an opening on September 13, 2024, theyโ€™ll be taking over the spot that used to be The Haven Memphis, right next to Reneeโ€™s Sandwich Shop. I had a taste of what theyโ€™re brewing at a pop-up event, and let me tell you, it was impressive! I can’t wait to hop between MFS and the local favorites like Wiseacre and Ghost Riverโ€™s taproom. Let the brewery hopping begin!

Felicia Suzanne’s Returns!

Now, for those who remember the beloved Felicia Suzanneโ€™s, youโ€™ll be thrilled to know itโ€™s making a comeback! After taking a break, itโ€™s coming back with not just any location, but a newly renovated spot in South Main, right where Spindini used to be. Whatโ€™s better than some fancy Southern cuisine with a twist? Plus, my fingers are crossed for the return of those famous 25-cent martinis! Look for their doors to open in the fall of 2024.

Sushi, Tea, and Comfort Food Galore!

If sushi is your thing, a new spot will soon be making waves at the previous Bhan Thai location on Peabody Ave. While we donโ€™t have all the deets just yet, itโ€™s great to see that space coming to life. Opening dates are still a mystery, but the anticipation is building!

And right next door to that sushi joint will be a cozy tea and coffee house. Imagine grabbing your favorite brew in a space that used to be a home! Again, opening details are still in the works, so keep your ears open for updates.

Unleashing the Speakeasy Vibe

Now, hereโ€™s something you wonโ€™t want to miss. A sophisticated speakeasy is on its way to the basement of Biscuits & Jams, which is located in Hotel Indigo. If that already sounds good, theyโ€™ll also be serving crafted cocktails, small plates, and live entertainment. The food is sure to impress, coming from a well-loved eatery like Biscuits & Jams!

Pizza Lovers, Get Ready!

Calling all pizza fans! East Memphis is gearing up for Pizza Me!, brought to us by Curtis Givens of In Love Memphis. Expect gourmet pizza with a twist, like the fried chicken and hood sauce special. Did I mention theyโ€™re giving away 500 FREE pizzas on opening day? Youโ€™ll want to mark September 13, 2024, on your calendars for this one!

Deli Delights Coming Your Way

Sandwich lovers can get excited about Kellieโ€™s Deli, which is also making its debut downtown. This deli plans to serve up everything from sandwiches to soups and desserts in the former River Market space at the New Memphis building. The renovations are well underway, and this spot looks promising for a delightful lunch or dinner!

Expanding the Mahogany Memphis Experience

Fans of Mahogany Memphis will be thrilled to know theyโ€™re opening a second location on Mud Island, taking over the former River Terrace space. The buzz around this restaurant has been palpable ever since I attended an event there last December, and it seems theyโ€™re nearly ready to roll out the welcome mat!

A Historical Gem Reimagined

Last but definitely not least, weโ€™re excited about a new cocktail bar at the renovated Hotel Pontotoc. This boutique hotel is retaining its historical charm while offering an upscale experience with only ten rooms. Pair this with The Archives Bar & Bistro, helmed by Chef Phillip Dewayne, and you have a sophisticated dining and drinking experience waiting for you come fall 2024.

So, there you have it, folks! The Memphis food scene is alive and kicking with new places set to open soon, each offering its own unique flair. I donโ€™t know about you, but I canโ€™t wait to sit down and try them all. Hereโ€™s to great food and even better memories in our vibrant city!
