Rhodes College Shines in Study Abroad Ranking

Rhodes College has been esteemed as one of the nation’s top institutions for study abroad, according to a report on International Educational Exchange by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Institute of International Education (IIE). The college secured the 29th position for the number of undergraduates participating (with a total of 196 for Rhodes); the 31st position in the list of participating baccalaureate colleges, and the 13th position for the number of students participating in short-term programs.

In addition, the Open Doors 2023 Report has revealed a rebound in U.S. study abroad to more than half of pre-pandemic levels during the academic year 2021-22.

Nextech Partners with Remington College

Nextech, a 24-hour nationwide HVAC/R service provider, has announced an official partnership with Remington College, a nonprofit college headquartered in Dallas, Texas. With Nextech as a preferred employer partner, the college aims to create more opportunities for its students. Besides its Dallas headquarters, the college also has a location in Memphis.

Junior Achievement of Memphis Welcomes Nia Nguyen

Nia Nguyen, former sales account executive with Truxio and wellness advisor with YogaSix, has joined Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South as the office coordinator. In her new role, she will take on office duties and provide administrative support in the development and programs team.

Hi-Speed Industrial Service Hires New Team Members

Hi-Speed Industrial Service has strengthened its team with two seasoned professionals. Joining the company as General Manager for its Millington and Little Rock, Arkansas locations is Dave Rasmussen. With 25 years of professional experience, Rasmussen has held multiple leadership positions including at Ferrellgas. In his new role, he will oversee operations and push for process improvement.

Taking the mantle as Operations Manager for the company’s Millington motor repair division is Ron Melton. With his decades of experience in electromechanical equipment service, repair, and sales, Melton is expected to provide valuable strategic direction.
