After snatching the purse, Thompson and his crew speeded off in their vehicle. Thankfully, law enforcement acted swiftly, and the victim was later able to identify Thompson during a police lineup, bringing some solace in the aftermath of the frightening experience.

Just ten days later, on March 12, 2025, another alarming incident involving juveniles came to light. This time, a group of four young men, including three 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old, found themselves caught in an armed robbery while trying to make a car purchase through Facebook Marketplace.

The crime escalated into a dangerous high-speed chase when the police managed to locate the stolen car on Highway 385.
