Central Gardens is one of Memphis's most architecturally cohesive and well-maintained historic districts. History
Developed between roughly 1910 and 1940, Central Gardens was the premier address for Memphis's professional and business class during that period. The neighborhood survived urban flight and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which has supported preservation and rehabilitation.
