It’s just an oversight; somebody let that certificate expire.โ
The security warning was due to an expired SSL certificateโthatโs short for Secure Sockets Layer. This certificate is crucial as it helps to verify a websiteโs authenticity and encrypts users’ network connections to keep information safe. According to Horton, โThey just have to renew that. But the underlying functionality of the websiteโthe security featuresโnothing that has changed.โ
