MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Botanic Garden in Memphis, Tenn., will glow again this winter as Holiday Wonders at the Garden comes back for select evenings from Nov. 27 through Dec. 30, this time spreading its lights into the Herb Garden.

The light show, presented by Memphis Light, Gas and Water, keeps the crowd favorites that have drawn visitors in past years. Polar Passage returns in The Woodland, along with glowing walking trails, firetables for warming up, seasonal drinks and food trucks on a rotating schedule.

Gina Harris, the garden’s director of audience engagement, said the event has turned into a tradition for many families, and staff try to add something new each year while holding on to the parts guests come back for.

Theme nights give repeat visitors a reason to return. The schedule includes Santa Sundays, a pet-friendly Paw-liday Wonders night, Let It Glow and Happy Hula-Days. A separate adults-only Holi-Date Night is planned for Dec. 3.

The garden opens for the show on Nov. 27 and 28, Dec. 4 through 6, Dec. 10 through 23 and Dec. 26 through 30. Gates run from 5 to 8:30 p.m., and closing moves to 9:30 p.m. from Dec. 18 through 23.

Sales open at 10 a.m. on Nov. 6. Buying ahead costs $15 for garden members and $17 for everyone else, while any ticket bought the day of a visit is $20. Kids younger than 2 get in free. Entry is timed and nights are expected to sell out, so buying early is the safer bet.

Every dollar from ticket sales goes back to the Memphis Botanic Garden, located at 750 Cherry Road. Visitors are asked to check the garden’s social media on the day they plan to come in case weather forces a closure.
